Jan Sedlacek

Since 1975, Jan has been in the financial planning and insurance business.  He holds the prestigious Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, which he earned in 1978, and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1983.

Jan is also a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Hornor, Townsend, and Kent, Inc., through which he offers securities and investment advisory services, and holds Series 6, 22, 63, and 65 licenses. He is also an active member of several leading industry organizations including the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).

Notwithstanding these accolades, Jan's greatest sense of accomplishment rests with the large number of clients that he has helped to achieve financial freedom.

Jan lives in Succasunna, New Jersey with his wife, Wendy.  He has three daughters.

Alan Meckler

Alan has over 28 years of experience and currently holds the following designations:  Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Alan is also a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Hornor, Townsend, and Kent, Inc., and in that capacity, he offers both securities and investment advisory services in addition to holding Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses, enabling Alan to also offer mutual funds, variable annuities, stocks and bonds.

One interesting fact about Alan is that he started his career as an electrical engineer, possessing a BSEE from the prestigious Northeastern University.  Subsequently, Alan worked at Picatinny Arsenal, one of America's most advanced armament testing facilities. As it turns out, his analytic background also proved to be indispensable for numerical analysis in the financial sector.  1988 was a turning point for Alan's career when he joined Cornerstone Financial Group, Inc.  He has since helped hundreds of clients to achieve their financial goals and became a partner in the firm. 
Alan lives in Succasunna, New Jersey with his wife, Mary.  They have four children.  In his spare time, Alan enjoys playing golf and traveling.

Mary F. Meckler, RHU  |  Vice President of Employee Benefits

Mary Meckler

Mary graduated from the County College of Morris with an Associate's Degree in Business.  She joined Cornerstone Financial Group in 1993 as an Administrative Assistant.  After receiving her Life and Health Insurance License, Mary found herself gravitating toward customer service in the Employee Benefits field and eventually moved onto sales.  After a few years, she was promoted to Vice President of Employee Benefits and is responsible for overseeing that division of Cornerstone.  Mary is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).  She also holds the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation which she earned from the American College in 2007.

Mary lives in Succasunna, New Jersey with her husband, Alan.  They have four children.

Wendy M. Sedlacek | Administrator

Wendy Sedlacek

Wendy began working in the insurance industry in 1978, shortly after her graduation from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She started with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company as a customer service representative, before moving to the investment firm of Cardell and Associates, and later to Chubb Life Insurance Company.
After a brief stint at the Property and Casualty agency in Louisiana, Wendy took a break from her career to raise her three children. When she returned to the workforce in 1996, she joined Cornerstone Financial Group, and brought to the company, her many years of diverse industry experience as well as her multiple certifications. Wendy holds a FINRA Series 6 license as a Registered Sales Assistant with Hornor, Townsend, and Kent, Inc., and she has a Life and Health Insurance License as well.

Wendy lives in Succasunna, New Jersey with her husband, Jan.  She has three daughters.

Tracey Strunck | Employee Benefits - Claims Services

Tracey Strunck

After graduating from Boston University, Tracey gained valuable work experience in a variety of areas of the financial and insurance industries. Her resume includes acting as a broker/client liaison in a financial consulting firm and as an administrator for retirement services.
Tracey currently provides customer service to our Small Group Health Insurance clients and fulfills a variety of other administrative duties at Cornerstone.

Tracey lives in Morris County with her husband.

Nicole Finley | Senior Employee Benefits Specialist

Nicole Finley

Nicole began working in the insurance industry in 2001 as an Administrative Assistant. During this time, she graduated from the County College of Morris with an Associate's Degree in Business.

In 2003, she earned her Life and Health license and began working as a Benefits Account Consultant assisting clients and brokers with their customer service needs. In 2008, Nicole earned her Property and Casualty license while the agency expanded their product offerings and worked as the Business Development Manager.

Eventually she become an Employee Benefits Manager. Nicole enjoyed this position as it provided a challenge— handling all escalated situations for the service department, offering sales support to clients and brokers and handled the HR functions of the agency.

Her leadership and contributions over the years have helped many clients and brokers offer continued solutions in the ever-changing insurance environment. She has a comprehensive benefits and ancillary background. Nicole is very experienced and extremely proficient in the products, paperwork and rules and insurance regulations. She serves as a healthcare reform and subject matter expert.

Nicole lives in Rockaway, New Jersey with her husband Rich and their two children. She enjoys many outdoor activities and traveling.
